Pleas

Grass cries with
parched blades
for cool carress
of gentle rain.

I cry with
aching soul
for sweet relief
of tender grace.

World cries with
bleeding land
for fading hope
of lasting peace.

  1. You have expressed this very well. The 'parched' feeling is seemingly universal at times among all nature.

  2. Beautiful morph from the rain poem, Victoria! Excellent.

  3. The first two stanzas show suffering with hope, the last killer stanza shows suffering with "fading" hope...a heads up poem.

  4. What plaintive cries. This really touches me.
