A Weird Poem (Poets United Prompt)

Unhooked

No connection between silver
and gold - all things that shine
are not the same - all birds
sing distinct songs. Sapphire
is not ruby nor emerald a tree.
You are only you and never me.

    I like this poem as it is about individuality. It's a wonderful thought that we are who we are and we are beautiful as we are.
