Refuge

Occupy only myself
still under covers
still in my skin
warm air out,
cool air in,
to feel safe,
to feel free,
to rest, I must
occupy only myself.

This one was written for the "occupy" prompt on Poetry Jam.

  1. Yes, indeed, Victoria. This poem makes me feel so warm and safe and under MY quilt (where I will be soon). Thank you for taking part in the 'jam.'

  8. The world beyond my doorstep is so large and full of woe, insoluable problems, bigger than my wee little self. I feel this poem in my own heart.

  11. I like this poem a lot. Great response to occupy. We first must center ourself to be of much use to others.
