  1. Yes Victoria, escape in sight! I used to have a train case -- forgot it was called that. Wonder what became of it. The way you wrote this captures the urgency somehow too. Have a good weekend.

  2. Ahh, escape. I liked a look inside your suitcase and was suprised about skirts and hiking shoes. I am wondering now if I've ever seen you in slacks or jeans and I don't believe I have. What I learn through poetry! :) It sounds like you are ready for this trip..no keys. Enjoy!

  3. I can remember train cases, but never owned one. I wonder if they make them any more.

  4. Thanks for the comments. And yes Judy, I do wear jeans sometimes, especially in winter. It's just so hot here and I find skirts and loose dresses cooler. And Mary, my train case is just a few years old, so they do still make them. I like it's boxy taller shape better than the traditional suitcase. It just works for me.

  5. Fun poem, Victoria. It makes me smile to hear about your train case. I had one from matching luggage when I was in high school from my parents, a pretty blue one, that I finally gave up a few years ago.
