Crying in the Night

No matter how much wisdom, knowledge, security,
No matter how many friends, children, students,
No matter how much love, encouragement, connection,
Crying in the night still feels like crying in the night.

  1. Oh yes, Victoria, no matter what. You voice such truth in these four lines. Important poem in giving oneself permission to feel and cry in the night regardless of logic.

  2. Sometimes what has us crying in the night disappears by daylight. Things seem worse at night I think. We get a more clear picture by daylight. We can carry things better by daylight.

  3. Wow Victoria. So much said in such a few words crafted together well. I like having all your poems here on the blog so I can go back and read the ones I missed while I was away. Hugs.
